PROM?

It seems like only a few people are excited for prom... I mean yes a lot of girls freak out about what to wear and etc. but only some plan it out and wont stop thinking about it years and years before it even happens. Im gladly one of them. Before moving here I was so extremely excited about it because I thought since were geographically closer to the US it might be more like the ones in the typical american movies. To my surprise and disappointment, they don't. Who would have ever thought a school only a few hours away from the States, the PROM country only has a 'semi-formal'?!

Oh well.

With exams coming up, theres just no time to blog.

Math and Science are probably going to be a pain in the hand.

I hate that feeling you get when you focus so much on one equation and you're absolutely sure its right but when you look in the back of the book, its a completely different answer...!

Change of plans

Theres only so much you can do when parents decide things on their own. Getting mad just because you had planned out every spot in your supposedly new room isn't going to change their mind.  So in my case Im making the most out of it by ( as cruel as that sounds) hoping for my brother to move out so I can get his place...

Feather extention

I remember a friend getting some feather extensions a while ago and I thought they're so immature and that I would never get them. Yet I kept passing by the store where she got them and I saw all the pretty colours they had... And then it hit me, I had to get some!

So here I am now with blue-ish feather extensions.

High Tea

Today was a friends 16th birthday with a 'High Tea' theme.  It went pretty well, we had tea, sushi, cute deserts and cake. Yumm!

Not everyone wore gloves and hats but someone brought an umbrella and pretended that was her hat. Haha.

Spring Fling

Everyone ready for spring?

The start of the Spring / Summer season means its time to refresh your wardrobe.

The short stuff: Hemlines have crept up to shorter than short; in fact reaching the negative. Hot pants, boy shorts, and tap pants are all variations on this shorter-than-short style.

The Laces: No, it's not new. But, like all trends that span multiple seasons, it has evolved. Lace influences for Spring  are more to the classic side with quality antique-style fabrics the key to the trend. 

The Sports: Sportswear takes on a whole new level of cool when it hits trend status. Football inspirations turn tomboy chic to other effortless looks; while Bond girl scuba inspired clothing is the pinnacle of sporty bombshell.

The Prints: No longer must we stick to boring block colours on our lower half, for all varieties of printed pants have made their way onto the Spring runways. Whether floral, striped, abstract, bold or subdued... patterns on pants are giving us new bold wardrobe options for the warmer months.

The Knee Highs: Knee high socks - as well as over-the-knee and thigh high socks - are back as a trend, and the options on how to wear them are many. From the sporty to the sparkly, to layerings of socks over tights; a great pair of socks can add volumes to an outfit.

As much as would love to show off my smoothy making skills to my friends, they keep denying the meet up. Now these aren't just any smoothies! But you guys are missing out! This stuff is real good! :P

Something I learned from moving here is the difference between Hockey and Soccer fans. In soccer it's not a big deal if you're not a fan of the soccer team of the city you live in, whereas in hockey people freak out if you don't like their team! Since I generally don't understand hockey that well Im just going to stick with soccer!
